This realistic material study shows visit preparation as fictional inspiration; it is not a product catalogue or confirmed sample list.
Bring the room in three forms.
- Image: a few photographs showing the windows, floor, neighbouring walls and the light at different times.
- Drawing: a plan, elevation or hand sketch with the surfaces you are considering marked clearly.
- Measure: approximate surface sizes, ceiling height, openings and any edge or joint that will remain visible.
If another finish is already fixed, bring a small reference or a photograph of it. A sample makes more sense beside the things it must live with.
Write the questions before you arrive.
Ask how the selected surface will be detailed, how the edge will be handled, what it needs for care and which details still need confirmation. Note whether you are comparing a natural variation, a controlled pattern, a soft light response or a textured surface. The aim is to leave with questions answered and the next checks written down.
Product names, grades, dimensions, lead times and availability should be confirmed for the actual material. This page is a preparation list, not a catalogue.
It also helps to decide what you are not choosing yet. A short list of open questions makes it easier to compare a few relevant samples instead of losing the room’s main problem among unrelated references.
